Raspberry plot overview

This is a rough outline of my story ideas for Project Blend, loosely based on a plot structure given to us by Hope Caton.

Prologue / Act one part 1

I'm not quite sure whether this is the prolougue or just straight into Act one... None the less this section will be very short. A mysterious grape steps out of the shadows and tells Logan (raspberry hero of the story) that his master, The Dragon Fruit has wants to see him. Logan makes his way to see Dragon Fruit.

Inciting incident

On the way to the Dragon Fruit, the kitchen is attacked by a variety of small fruit (berries, lychees and such). Logan doesn't have a weapon so has to sneak past without being seen.

Act one part 2

Raspberry reaches Master Dragon fruit, only to find his master mid battle with a Horned Melon (called Helon). Dragon Fruit falters when he sees Logan and is sliced in half by Horned Helon.
Sliced in half but still alive, Dragon fruit gives Logan his weapon and tells him he's "ripe enough" to reach his full potential. Before Logan can attack, the Horned Helon retreats.

Act one hook

The same grape as earlier comes out of the shadows again and tells Logan his family has been taken next door. The grape also gives Logan some advice "always trust a grapes information but never tell a grape anything. Your secrets aren't safe with us. Good luck." The grape returns to the shadows. Logan has to slash his way through the remainder of the enemy blueberries until he reaches a hole in the wall guarded by a rather large banana. Logan has to use stealth to either avoid or kill the banana. Logan goes into the wall.

Read the rest after the jump.

Act one climax

Logan fights a group of blackberries, who he kills. He comes out on the other side of the wall.

Act two part 1

Logan is greeted by a bunch of grapes who appear to be attached to vines, that extend all over this kitchen. The grapes introduce themselves as an information network called the Grapevine. they explain that a blender has taken control of this kitchen and needs raspberries a smoothie of eternal life. Logan now has to be more stealthy in his approach, as he feel he is in greater danger. Logan fights through the "Passionate Strawberries" and their leader "Burning Passion Fruit" as well as "Madame Pineapple" and her gang. Logan also fights Blackberries all the way through.

Midpoint reversal

The Blackberries capture Logan and bury him at the bottom of the bin.

Act two part 2

Logan has to get past a number of fruit that have "raisin" from the dead (such as apple cores, banana peels and zomberries) and escape the bin.

Act two climax

After defeating the blackberries defending the bin lid, the Grapevine tells Logan why the blackberries are attacking him. They don't work for the blender, they are a rebel group fighting against the blender and as raspberries are the last ingredient in the blenders smoothie of life they will stop any raspberries trying to get into the bad kitchen. The Grapevine also reveals that Logan is actually (as his name suggests) a loganberry, half raspberry, half blackberry. Logan now has the choice, carry on killing the blackberries or try to avoid killing them by using stealth.

Act three

Horned Helon and her gang are defeated by Logan (avenging Dragon Fruits death).

Act three climax

The Blender is confronted and fought (with the raspberries (and some blackberries) still alive inside him). The Blender stops moving and Logan thinks he has defeated it. After a moments silence...

*BRRRRRZZZZZZZZRRRR* Raspberry smoothie.

Resurrection

The grape from the beginning jumps out and says, "We The Gapevine control this kitchen. Now with this smoothie of life we will never become raisins. I just need one more ingredient. You." All the grapes from the Grapevine jump off the wall and with the help of the blackberries (assuming you didn't kill them all) Logan fights them. Logan finds a way to knock the lead grape into the blender and turns it on, blending the grape into his own smoothie.

Resolution

Logan has defeated the grape vine and brought the blackberries(if still alive) back to the good kitchen so the no longer have to live oppressed lives.
